    Length: 20m, 30m, 50m / 22 Yds, 33 Yds, 55 Yds

    Thickness: 0.13mm, 0.14mm, 0.15mm / 5.2 mil, 5.6 mil, 6.0 mil

    Temperature Tolerance: 100-110℃ | 212-230℉ (for 60 minutes)

Primary Uses: Automotive sheet metal painting, masking for furniture coating, color separation for industrial equipment, high-standard interior decoration.

  • Yellow Washi Paper Masking Tape
    Yellow Washi Paper Masking Tape

The washi paper substrate is thinner and flatter, allowing it to closely adhere to complex surfaces and ensuring no leakage even through multiple processes. The micron-level thickness not only prevents paint buildup at the edges but also eliminates heavy paint film steps.

    Width: 6mm, 12mm, 18mm, 24mm, 30mm, 45mm | 1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1.25″, 1.75″

    Length: 18m, 33m, 50m / 20 Yds, 36 Yds, 55 Yds

    Thickness: 0.08mm, 0.09mm, 0.10mm / 3.2 mil, 3.5 mil, 4.0 mil

    Withstand Temperature: 120-150℃ | 248-302℉ (for 30-60 minutes)

Applications: High-precision color separation spraying, precision model coating, high-end automotive detailing, multi-color coating boundary protection.

  • Electronic Grade Polyimide Masking Tape

Also known as Goldfinger Tape, it offers extremely high electrical insulation, resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, and strong chemical stability. It does not soften or shrink under extreme high temperatures.

    Width: 3mm, 5mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 50mm| 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″, 2″

Yellow Masking Tape vs. Blue Painter's Tape: Which one should I choose?

Yellow masking tape is specifically engineered for industrial-grade applications; its adhesion is significantly stronger than that of blue tape. It offers excellent grip on metal, plastic, and rubber surfaces and can reliably withstand the high temperatures of automotive paint booths. In contrast, blue painter’s tape features a low-tack adhesive designed primarily for indoor DIY and delicate surfaces (like painted walls or drywall), focusing on UV resistance and clean removal for up to 14 days.

Why is it called masking tape?

Because it was originally designed for automotive painting, used to “mask” areas that do not need to be painted. Its function is like a protective film, ensuring clean paint edges.

Can i use masking tape instead of electrical tape?

Absolutely not. Ordinary yellow masking tape is paper-based, non-insulating, and flammable; using it to wrap wires poses a fire risk.

Although polyimide or PEI tapes offer excellent electrical insulation and high-temperature resistance, they are ultra-thin films and lack the robust abrasion resistance and wrapping strength of standard electrical tape. For applications requiring abrasion resistance, waterproofing, or building wiring, standard vinyl electrical tape must be used.

Is freezer tape the same as masking tape?

Not the same. Freezer tape contains special low-temperature adhesive, which can adhere firmly even in sub-zero environments. Ordinary masking tape becomes brittle and peels off in the freezer.

Can masking tape be recycled?

Usually not. Although it is made of paper, the residual glue on it can contaminate the recycling process. Furthermore, once it is stained with paint or chemical solvents, it can only be treated as non-recyclable waste.
