Best Quality DOT-C2 Reflective Tape Supplier| Support Oem Odm Customization

DOT-C2 is a vehicle marking that complies with the mandatory standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation. The ‘C2’ refers to the standard width of 2 inches.

This product utilizes advanced microprism technology, efficiently refracting light through thousands of tiny triangular prisms. It is mandatory for use on the sides and rear of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, ensuring the vehicle is clearly visible at night or in extreme weather conditions, making it an essential material for preventing collisions and ensuring compliant road use.

As a professional manufacturer, Tanyo Industry specializes in providing certified products that meet the FMVSS 108 standard for the North American market. The tape features clear steel embossing, possesses excellent weather resistance and anti-aging capabilities, provides long-lasting reflectivity, and resists edge lifting and fading.

We offer competitive pricing and stable delivery schedules through industrial-scale production, and support in-depth OEM/ODM customization, allowing for tailored specifications, packaging, and brand logos according to requirements.

Where to put reflective tape on utility trailers?

Apply it horizontally along the sides (at least 50% coverage) and the full width of the lower rear. For optimal safety, add two inverted “L” shapes of white tape on the upper rear corners to mark the trailer’s height and width.

Is it illegal to put reflective tape on your car?

Generally, it is legal for safety enhancement, but regulations vary by region. Avoid using colors that mimic emergency vehicles (like blue or flashing red) and ensure the tape doesn’t obstruct lights, license plates, or windows.

Does reflective tape glow in the dark?

No, reflective tape does not “glow” by itself. Unlike phosphorescent (glow-in-the-dark) materials, it is a retro-reflective material. It remains invisible in total darkness unless it is struck by an external light source, such as car headlights, which it then bounces back toward the observer.

How to install reflective tape on trailers?

First, thoroughly clean the application area, removing dust and oil stains to ensure optimal bonding strength.

After peeling off the release paper, first secure one end and slowly apply it along the predetermined path to prevent misalignment.

Then, press firmly from the inside out to eliminate air bubbles and ensure the edges are tightly sealed.

Finally, it is recommended to let it sit for 24-48 hours until the adhesive backing is fully cured.
