How often to replace weather stripping?

The service life of weatherstrips is approximately 5 years. It is recommended to replace them promptly when deformation or loss of elasticity is observed.

How do i know what size weather stripping i need?

First, accurately measure the total perimeter of the door or window frame where the weatherstripping is to be installed (i.e., the sum of the lengths of all installation edges). Next, measure the width of the gap between the door or window and the frame when closed. When purchasing, the thickness of the weatherstripping should be approximately 3-5mm greater than the measured gap width to ensure effective sealing. The total length of weatherstripping required should be slightly longer than the measured total perimeter of the frame. It is recommended to allow an extra 5-10cm for installation at corners.

How to install weather stripping on bottom of door?

Before installation, please wipe away any dust from the bottom of the door panel. Then, select a door bottom weatherstrip of appropriate size, align it to a suitable position beneath the door panel (typically slightly lower than the ground), peel off the release film from its back, and firmly attach it flat. Ensure the bottom of the weatherstrip is lower than the ground to achieve effective windproof and soundproof results.

How to clean door bottom weather stripping?

Dust on the door bottom weather strip can be removed by directly wiping it with a dry towel or wet wipe. For stubborn grease stains, add a small amount of dish soap or a teaspoon of white vinegar to water, dip a towel in the solution, wring it out, and carefully wipe clean.
