Tanyo Joist Tape | Deck Waterproof Seal Protection
Tanyo joist tape is specifically developed for deck protection. It is a self-adhesive butyl tape with a smooth black PE backing, distinct from common aluminum foil tapes. It seamlessly conceals itself within deck gaps, providing robust waterproof sealing without compromising the deck surface flatness.
Its 100% butyl composition is asphalt-free, offering a lifespan three times longer than standard asphalt tapes. This effectively safeguards the substructure beneath the deck from water erosion and rot, significantly extending the framework’s service life.

Step 1: Thoroughly clean the deck surface to ensure it is clean and dry (free from contaminants such as dust, oil stains, etc.).
Step 2: Apply the butyl tape smoothly to the upper surface of joists, beams, or rim joists.
Step 3: Use your palm or a specialized roller to fully compact the tape along its length, ensuring a secure bond.
Note: Ensure sufficient overlap at seams (recommended 5 cm or more).
