100% Odorless & Zero Formaldehyde
In raw material selection, Tanyo Industry implements a strict screening mechanism, eliminating the use of asphalt-containing recycled rubber to eradicate the long-term health hazards caused by the volatilization of toxic gases from low-end materials during vehicle operation. The core substrate of the product utilizes 100% high-molecular-weight virgin synthetic butyl rubber, relying on its highly saturated molecular chain structure to provide exceptional molecular shear stability, while the formulation strictly prohibits low-molecular-weight plasticizers and solvent-based modifiers. Under high-heat and high-humidity environmental chamber testing, the material’s Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC) and free formaldehyde emissions are both Non-Detected (ND). It fully complies with the stringent environmental standards of EU RoHS 2.0 and REACH regulations (including SVHC), ensuring automotive-grade cabin air quality and international market compliance from the chemical source.

Extreme Heat Stability Up to 150°C
Verified by standard thermal tests, our butyl damping sheets maintain a displacement of 0 mm (zero slippage) during a 24-hour vertical suspension test within a 150°C constant-temperature oven. Simultaneously, they successfully pass the high-temperature oil exudation test (no oil separation, no compound softening) and the -40°C extreme low-temperature flexibility bending test (no cracking, no brittleness), ensuring the physical structure remains highly stable across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 150°C. These technical indicators demonstrate that when applied to vertical sheet metal surfaces such as the inside of car doors, or inverted areas like car roofs, the damping sheet effectively resists high heat conduction from the engine bay and extreme external sun exposure. This fundamentally prevents melting, dripping, adhesive running, or heat-induced hardening and detachment, avoiding physical contamination of the vehicle’s internal wiring harnesses.
Ultra-Strong Vibration Dampening
Our butyl rubber damping mats are composed of a high-viscoelastic pure butyl rubber layer with a density of 1.45 – 1.55 g/cm³ and a 0.1 mm (4 mil) rigid honeycomb embossed aluminum foil. When the metal sheet undergoes deformation due to external excitation (such as road noise, wind resistance, or mechanical operation), the adhesive layer induces high Shear Deformation, efficiently converting mechanical vibration energy into thermal energy for dissipation. In terms of technical specifications, the material features a high Loss Factor within the 50 – 200 Hz resonance frequency band. Combined with a surface mass density of 3.0 kg/m² (complying with the acoustic Mass Law), it physically suppresses low-frequency resonance and structural noise in the chassis, trunk, and enclosure panels. Furthermore, by increasing the bending stiffness of the sheet metal, this damping mat eliminates the Acoustic Cancellation phenomenon inside the door panel caused by panel vibration, converting the loose sheet metal structure into a sealed, rigid enclosure-like acoustic environment, thereby deeply optimizing the bass extension and mid-frequency output response of the car audio system.

For better sound insulation, it is recommended to choose 2mm automotive butyl sound deadener. Additionally, various thicknesses such as 1.0mm, 1.5mm, 1.8mm, 2.2mm, 2.5mm, and 3mm are available on the market. Generally speaking, the thicker the material, the better the sound insulation effect.
Car floor, roof, hood, door, trunk lid, wheel arch, etc., these places need to use damping sheets for sound insulation.
For butyl soundproofing pads whose surfaces are allowed to be damaged, they can be removed directly with a scraper. If it encounters a large area or a non-flat area, it can be softened by heating and then torn off. Finally, the remaining small pieces are removed with a scraper.
