Can you paint weather stripping?

Do not apply paint to weather strips, as it will corrode the material and cause it to lose its elasticity.

How to install weather stripping on bottom of door?

First, make sure that the dust at the bottom of the door is thoroughly removed. Then, accurately measure the width of the door, and cut the weather-resistant sealing strip according to this size to remove the excess part.

Tear off the protective film (i.e. release film) on the back of the sealing strip, but do not press it immediately for the time being. At this time, please carefully check whether the position of the sealing strip is correct, and confirm whether there are any gaps at the bottom of the door after installation. Confirm all details If it meets the requirements, you can press it evenly so that the sealing strip fits firmly to the door.

What is the difference between sealing strip and sealing tape?

The obvious difference between the sealing strip and the sealing tape is the width. The width of the sealing strip is smaller than that of the sealing tape.

The sealing strip is thicker and plays the roles of sealing, sound insulation, heat insulation, shock absorption, etc. The sealing tape has strong stickiness and mainly plays a role in preventing water vapor penetration and air leakage.

What is the difference between PVC weatherstrip and silicone weatherstrip?

PVC sealing strips are cheap and can maintain good performance between -40 °C and + 120 °C. Suitable for daily use needs.

Silicone sealing strips can still maintain good performance between -50 °C and 200 °C. The elasticity is also very good. It is suitable for demanding application scenarios.
